It was truly the most difficult event I've ever experienced. Makuhari Messe was so huge... Halls 1-8 and 9-11 were separated, so I had to move back and forth. Thankfully, my schedule was packed with meetings before the event, but I didn't know I'd have to move around so much to accommodate them. I walked so much that when I got back to the hotel, my toenail was piercing another, and I bled a lot.
Although the participation of famous, large game companies was low, and the size of their booths was reduced, the number of participating game companies actually increased. They were operating booths not only within the event's designated space but also in areas that weren't dedicated to the event. I was truly amazed by how many people are working so hard to create games.
I could still sense the localization needs from game developers and publishers and understand how they've been localizing until now and what problems they're facing. We will continuously improve and develop our services to help these people with their difficulties.
There were people I was glad to see at the event. I unexpectedly met Mr. Yuchang from Anymind, and I was really honored when he said my phone selfies looked good (Galaxy S23 user). Mr. Lee Jongchang, CEO of Sandyfloor, who has more games and is enthusiastically promoting them at the indie game booth since I saw him at Game AiCON, please give him a lot of attention. It was energizing to meet Mr. Seo Sangwon, CEO of Zempie, who is working hard traveling around various countries, and I was grateful that we could encourage each other.
I was so busy that I didn't even have time to meet my team members. I had to return on a Friday evening flight, so I was able to meet with my Japanese team colleagues before leaving the event. I was grateful to see them again this year, following 2024.
I was also happy to briefly meet and greet Mr. Junghun, the event fairy. It's really nice to get energy even in a short amount of time. I may not be able to follow in the footsteps of the event fairy, but I will be going on a business trip next month to attend the event. Please look forward to Alkonost being active in many places and fields in the future!
