[Ecohoon] Faker's Failure = Small Success

In late 2024, Faker, after winning the League of Legends World Championship (Worlds), was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to give a keynote speech at the 'Future Dialogue for Global Innovation'.

I prepared a speech to help young people, and I was inspired by the experience.

Faker debuted as a professional gamer at the age of 18. In 2013, 2015, and 2016, he won the Worlds, the most prestigious League of Legends tournament, three times. He also won the domestic league nine times.

Faker believed he was the best and thought he could keep winning. However, he didn't win Worlds after that, and it wasn't until 2023 that he returned to the top spot.

He says he learned a lot from his failures. Through those defeats and failures, he realized his shortcomings and learned from them. He, with his strong competitive spirit, realized that winning couldn't be achieved through willpower alone, and he continues to grow through humility.

Recently, I've been continuously failing to secure contracts. I did my best, researched and proposed customized services for clients, but ultimately failed for various reasons, or reasons that were not shared with me.

I feel a lot of frustration. But I learn from Faker's speech. I learn about my own shortcomings through failure. Because I failed, I can recognize my shortcomings and the need for improvement. Even the best player experienced repeated failures, so I can't always succeed.
