Before I joined, inquiries from Korean customers were answered in English or using a machine translator. Looking back at how responses were sent before my employment, the translation quality was truly regrettable.

Even if words are translated accurately, some words might be translated strangely, or the sentence itself might feel unnatural. For example, the word ‘ballpark’ can mean ‘baseball stadium,’ but it can also mean ‘approximate number.’ I can only imagine the feelings of customers receiving such responses.

Therefore, a translator's touch is necessary. Reviewing machine translations and correcting any mistakes is essential. Blindly trusting AI machine translation can lead to losses in service, product, and branding.

And how wonderful would it be if a native speaker reviewed the translation? While the skills of general translators are outstanding, a native speaker can create translations that are more in line with local culture.

Native speakers are necessary for work, business, and translation that are culturally relevant. Collaboration with native speakers can deliver greater value.
