I have a professor I deeply respect; he's an MBTI expert, a specialist in training MBTI professionals at the Korea MBTI Research Institute. He also gave a speech at my wedding and had a very similar family background and childhood to mine. That's why we became close friends in less than a year of knowing each other.
He teaches employment-related subjects at Kyung Hee University, and his classes have the highest ratings at the university. He even provides free coaching to students who want additional guidance after the semester ends. I'm a student from a different university, but thankfully, I also received his coaching.
He recently published another book on MBTI. The title is "The Formula for Communication Using MBTI." It contains information on common misconceptions about MBTI, explanations, goals, communication styles for each type, strengths and weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Ultimately, the core of MBTI is "respect." It wasn't created to divide people into types, to slander each other, to create stereotypes, or to promote only certain types as superior. Using it that way is wrong.
The purpose of MBTI is to understand each person's type, understand their preferred communication style, and use that to build respect and create a better life. I sincerely hope that the use of MBTI to criticize and exclude each other will cease.
You can find a review of this book through the blog link below, and it is available at various bookstores.
