I received a call from a client. They said they had responded to a request I made via email. They also mentioned they would only be working until the end of this month and said their goodbyes.
I felt a sense of loss; this was someone I truly appreciated working with on this project. We invested a lot of effort into it. I felt particularly attached to this client as I had helped them secure the contract through outbound sales activities.
At that moment, when I was feeling a little down, they gave me feedback on the durumis service. “Among the translation companies I’ve experienced, yours was the fastest and the quality was excellent. I'm planning to leave contact information for the person taking over my role so they can continue to request translation projects. If I get the chance at my next company, I'll be sure to contact Manager Lee Sang-hoon again.”
Sales is incredibly difficult. You're on the front lines, approaching clients first, needing to persuade them, and facing significant pressure to meet targets. While the rewards can be substantial when you achieve good results, that’s not always the case, and it’s often challenging.
But, hearing positive feedback like this from clients is truly moving and rewarding. It's what keeps me going, even when it's hard. While financial compensation is great, receiving this kind of positive affirmation from clients is the most fulfilling and makes me happy.
I wish the client I worked with all the best in their future endeavors, and I hope my sales journey is filled with equally rewarding experiences.
