These are contents that many career consultants and people working in foreign companies have already told me. Since repeated learning is important, I, too, could not help but mention this method.
There may still be people who want to join a foreign company but don't know how. And college students may still not be able to acquire information on these topics. I'll explain things that are already very familiar to those who work in foreign companies.
✅LinkedIn
I think it's the platform where recruitment is most active. It is a social media platform that many office workers around the world are already using. You can check the history of the presidents of Google, NVIDIA, and Microsoft here. You can see their past careers, academic backgrounds, and insights.
You can also see job postings, and if you organize your profile properly, you can receive DMs from recruiters. Of course, there are various headhunters in this platform as well. They can also contact you by looking at your profile. You need to dress up your appearance well on LinkedIn. If you organize your profile, photos, work history, job contents, achievements, and academic background well, those related to recruitment will approach you.
In particular, it's easy to be found in searches if you enter and highlight the core job keywords of your job. Recruiters search and understand talents based on keywords.
It's good to write it in English. As it is a global platform and you want to work for a foreign company, it's easy to get global opportunities if you write it in English. I also joined my current company through LinkedIn. The recruiter contacted me through LinkedIn and I responded. In addition, although I didn't join the company, I had other opportunities and had an interview. You can check if they are scams through their profile information - number of connections, company, history content, past postings, etc.
✅People & Job
This is a domestic recruitment platform. It is a platform where many job postings from foreign companies are posted. Many headhunters are already using this platform to recruit talent. You can upload your resume to this platform. Then, the headhunters will look at our resumes by searching with keywords and contact us.
I joined a foreign company in the past through People & Job. I applied for the job posting that was posted, and it was a posting posted by a headhunting company. The headhunting company instead suggested another company to me, and I joined that company.
You can apply directly or be applied for. Therefore, I recommend you to check the job postings on People & Job regularly. Also, please organize your resume well here (Korean, English) and upload it, and if you keep updating it, the headhunters will offer you job offers.
✅Super Rookie
I know that the representative of the platform is from a foreign company. So, he made and operates the platform. Job postings from foreign companies are also uploaded here.
It has a separate section for foreign company job postings, making it easy to search for foreign companies. I don't know if I can receive job offers without signing up, but I can apply directly. The reason I haven't actively used it yet is because recruitment is already active on LinkedIn and People & Job. In a way, it could be a legacy perspective.
✅Other recruitment sites
Besides the above three platforms, there are other recruitment sites. Of course, the platform is easy and familiar to search and apply for foreign companies in Korea. Of course, using overseas recruitment platforms will only allow you to find foreign companies, so you can also use this part. There are Glassdoor, Naukri, etc.
It's good to make good use of foreign company job sites, but the most important thing is to organize your field of support - job, industry, what I've been doing, and experiences. If this part is not organized, the profile and resume will be written haphazardly, and you may not be selected by the HR manager. Therefore, it is better to look at yourself, think, and go through the process of organizing first.
